Getting a site indexed
This stuff is mysterious. How do you get a search engine to pay attention to what you do? Is it regular change? Is it inbound links? How does MSN differ from Google? Is there anything hard and fast?
For instance, the previously mentioned Free ISP website gets indexed fantastically by Google. Lots of traffic but it gets almost nothing from MSN. However, we fiddled very slighty with a forklift truck attachments website and got indexed really well by MSN straight away but Google doesn't seem to know it's there. There are a few inbound links. The content has been changed over most of the site. Just a bit stumped.
